I want you to take some time today to breathe. You need to slow down, take in a full breath, not one hindered by stress, not one rushed because of deadlines, not a breath out of pure habit and instinct. Take in a real, full breath today. As you take in that rich, beautiful, crisp fall air, I want you to repeat this:
“Everything is according to plan.”
The beautiful part is, it’s not your plan. Everything is going according to God’s plan. And the good news is, His plans are so much bigger, so much better, so much more incredible than yours!
God allows the fullness of time to come before acting. He allowed the time for Haman to build the gallows before He saved Israel. He allowed Goliath’s infamy to spread so that no one would challenge him before David. He allowed the ark to be finished to completion before sending the flood over the earth. He allowed the 70 years to pass before bringing the captives back. He allowed Pharaoh to reject Moses until all 10 plagues were fulfilled.
And God is allowing the challenges you’re facing today, too. He’s getting things ready, preparing the way, establishing his plans, until the fullness of time comes. Whatever situation you’re in today, it’s not too late and it’s not too early. Call out to Him and thank Him for keeping you and sustaining you, even when it doesn’t look like things are going your way.
Soon Haman will find his gallows, Goliath will find his stone, the ark will find dry land, the captives will find the city of their love, and the people will find their promised land.
You too will find your day of salvation and rescue. He will not leave you as an orphan. He will not leave you and He will not forsake you. You are His beloved one. Cling to him today,
He is our good.
